Event Details

The Religion of Thinness by Michelle LelwicaEvent Description: Michelle Lelwica has noticed a disturbing trend in our culture’s obsession with external beauty. She believes that we are faced with a new, secularized “religion of thinness” that has its own set of beliefs, myths, rituals, and moral codes, encouraging followers to seek “salvation” through weight loss and imposing harsh penalties for those who fall outside
the lines. Ms. Lelwica adds that, “The Religion of Thinness offers false promises of freedom and fulfillment that leave us feeling unsatisfied and incomplete. Learning to identify and more adequately address unmet spiritual needs is a crucial step toward resolving conflicts with food and weight.”

Join us for this enlightening and empowering teleconference, where we will learn how to use two powerful and practical tools to reject the influence of our $40 billion dollar industry and replace the “religion of thinness” with unconditional self-acceptance, respect, care, and love.
